40th B-Day!!!!

Sooooo, the big 4-0 has come and gone!!! I don't really feel any older, but the body sure seems to be falling apart. Anyway, Paul and I went to see some friends in Little Rock for my b-day---THANX Bobby and Kim for having us!!!! Here are some pics from our trip:

We spent our 11th anniversary in Jamaica (again)!!!! Now that I have figured out how to do the slideshow, I put some pics of the scenery up. We took a trip to a place to "Rick's Cafe" where they do cliff jumping. There are also pics of other hotels along the way--we took a "sunset cruise" to the cafe. We got to meet up with friends from last year--it was good to see them again!!! It was also good to get away from the boys for a little while and "re-charge". Even Luke said we needed to take a break from each other?!?!?!?!?

Easter!!

I know it has been a while since I posted, but things have been busy around here. Just normal stuff, but I still couldn't get to the computer. I hope everyone had a nice Easter. I have to say that Luke took the pic of Paul and me!!

CELLULITUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean to gross anybody out, but this is what we have been dealing with for the last 3 weeks. Paul was in the hospital for a solid week on heavy duty antibiotics. He has been home for a week and you would not believe the difference in his leg!!! Now it just looks like a VERY serious sunburn with peeling. He is still not working and is going CRAZY just sitting around the house. The doctor asked him to stay off of it as much as possible. He walks around the house some, just to get some movement. Our biggest concern (now that we know it is healing) is can we still make our Jamaica trip???? We are scheduled to leave on the 19th of this month!! The dr will let us know later this week. We were supposed to go to Charleston to spend time with my brother and his wife, but had to cancel that trip--Dangit!!!!

The boys are doing fine. Pretty much the same ol' thing there---they are just growing up!!! I will post some pics of them later.

Snow Day!!!!

This is our version of a "Snow Day"!!!! School has been cancelled for today, because of what you see!! Oh well, now I have time to grade more papers!!

It's been a while since I have posted, so let's see about getting caught up. Christmas was good!! I was using the video camera to record the boys opening presents---only to find out that I never actually pressed the "record" button!!! I guess I hadn't had enough coffee!! Thankfully, Paul got some still shots. Mitchell and his girlfriend (Sam) were here Christmas Eve for dinner and Christmas morning to open presents. It was good to spend some time with him!!

January has started off with good stuff and bad stuff. Good stuff: Our hallway bathroom is now finished!!! Paul did a REALLY good job!! He had some help from his friends, but did a majority of the work himself. We have also added a pantry in the kitchen and another closet in our bedroom (Paul wanted someplace to put his clothes--go figure). Bad stuff: Luke's guinea pig (Mohawk) died. He was able to hold her while it happened and then he and Paul buried her in the backyard. This has been kind of a tough year with us and animals.
